Odomtr Terms of Service

1. Introduction
These terms explain how you can use the Odomtr mobile app and related services ("Odomtr," the "App," or the "Service").
By creating an account, downloading, or using Odomtr, you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
- You must be old enough to form a contract where you live.
- If you use Odomtr for a company, you promise you're allowed to accept these terms on the company's behalf.
3. Safety Requirements
Important: Never use Odomtr while driving. Only enter data when your vehicle is safely parked.
- You are responsible for obeying all traffic and safety laws.
- Using the app while operating a vehicle is strictly prohibited.
4. Service Description
What Odomtr Does
- Helps you log fuel fill‑ups, mileage, and maintenance records
- Provides summaries and reminders
What Odomtr Doesn't Do
- Odomtr does not provide mechanical, safety, legal, or financial advice
- Estimates are informational only and may not be perfectly accurate for your vehicle or conditions
- Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations and consult qualified professionals
5. Account Management
- Keep your login details secure and up to date
- You are responsible for activity under your account
- We may contact you at the email associated with your account for important updates
6. Data and Privacy
Your Data Ownership
- You own the content and data you add (like mileage, fill‑ups, notes, photos/receipts)
- You give Odomtr permission to store, process, and display your data to provide the Service
Data Usage
- We may use de‑identified and aggregated data to improve the Service and for analytics
- For how we collect, use, and protect personal information, see our Privacy Policy
7. Data Retention and Backups
- We try to keep Odomtr available and your data safe, but no system is perfect
- Make your own backups of important records (for example, saving PDFs/exports)
8. Acceptable Use
Please don't:
- Break the law or infringe on others' rights
- Enter false or misleading data to manipulate summaries or leaderboards
- Try to access, copy, or reverse engineer the App in ways not allowed
- Interfere with security or overload our systems
- Upload malware or content that's unlawful, harmful, or offensive
- Use Odomtr while operating a vehicle
9. App License and Updates
- We grant you a limited, personal, non‑transferable license to use the App in line with these terms
- We may update the App automatically. Some features may change or be discontinued
10. Subscriptions and Payments
- Some features may require a paid plan. Prices, features, and billing cycles will be shown in the applicable App store's subscription settings or within Odomtr
- Paid plans auto‑renew unless you cancel before the renewal date
- Manage or cancel through the platform where you subscribed (e.g., Apple App Store or Google Play)
- Taxes may apply. Refunds follow the platform's policies and applicable law
11. Third‑Party Services
- Odomtr may link to or integrate with third‑party services (for example, backend provider, analytics provider, OCR provider)
- Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for them
13. Vehicle and Warranty Impact
- Recording maintenance in Odomtr does not, by itself, satisfy any warranty or legal requirement
- Keep your original receipts and service records as required by your manufacturer or local laws
14. Disclaimers
No Warranties
- Odomtr is provided "as is" and "as available"
- We do not guarantee the App will be error‑free, uninterrupted, perfectly accurate, or meet your specific needs
15. Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, Odomtr and its owners, employees, and partners are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or vehicles, arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to use Odomtr in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you use the free version), unless the law says otherwise
16. Indemnification
- If your use of Odomtr causes a legal claim against us (for example, you upload content you don't have rights to), you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses
17. Service Termination
Your Rights
- You can stop using Odomtr and delete your account at any time
- Instructions are in the App or you can contact support
Our Rights
- We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, create risks, or if we stop offering the Service
- We'll try to give notice when reasonable
18. Changes to Terms
- We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Service or the law
- If changes are significant, we'll notify you in the App or by email
- Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms
19. App Store Terms
- If you downloaded Odomtr from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms may also apply
- They are not responsible for providing support or handling claims beyond what their terms require
20. Governing Law and Disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of [insert your state/country], without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules
- Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in [insert city/state/country], unless the law where you live requires otherwise
- If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect
21. Communications
- By using Odomtr, you agree to receive service‑related emails or in‑app messages
- You can opt out of non‑essential marketing messages. (At time of writing these are not planned.)
- We may send reminders for maintenance or fill‑ups; you can manage notifications in settings

23. Entire Agreement
- These terms, plus our Privacy Policy and any plan‑specific terms shown in the App, make up the entire agreement between you and Odomtr about the Service
